Tool School Is Cool
Tool School was really cool! There was a neat Robotics station that had a robot that looked like R2D2. A few people from the Coast Guard came in and showed you the tools they used. My favorite station was the health station. They had a big half ball that you stood on with one foot, then one of the people working there would “toss” you a full water bottle. They even gave you a hair net, a pair of gloves, and a mask for your mouth and nose. They showed you a temperature taker and a pulse checker. I hope you liked learning about the amazing Tool School!!

ReplyDeleteHi, Lizzie--
ReplyDeleteI loved reading your article about Tool School! Your words were very descriptive and gave me a clear picture about your experience -- just what writing should do!
I would be interesed in learning more about the Tool School event -- did your teachers put it together? Did they ask people from the community to come in and present to you the tools they use in their jobs/careers?
Love you! Aunt Linda

Lizzie,
ReplyDeleteYou kids do so much interesting stuff in school. Tool School sounds like it would be very eductional and fun all at the same time. Wish we sould have had all that going on when I was in school. You're a lucky girl to have all that available to you, and such a good teacher to make it all happen.
Keep up the good work!
